Fields in OrgChart Now can be set to Text, Number, Date or Image data types. Setting the data type of a field determines how the field will be displayed when presented in OrgChart Now (especially in boxes in your org chart).

Text Data Type

Data will be displayed as entered.

Number Data Type

Data will be displayed as a number.

You can control the following display parameters:

  1. Decimal Places - This parameter allows you to specify the number of decimal places to display (e.g. 0, 0.0, 0.00)
  2. Prefix - Specify a prefix (e.g. enter '$' to display '$5.00')
  3. Postfix - Specify a postfix (e.g. enter ' hours' to display '5 hours')
  4. Percentage - Show the number as a percentage (e.g. 1 —> 100% or 0.5 —> 50%)
  5. Use 1000 separator - Use separator when presenting numbers (e.g. 1,000 or 1,000,000).

Note: Your browser locale setting determines which 1000 separator that will be used.

Image Data Type

Data will be displayed as an image. The content of the field (Folder:FileName) or URL is used to reference the source image.

Date Data Type

When you type or import a date field, it will automatically be formatted as specified in the Field Editor panel.
